The 5th International Congress of Iranian Society of Metabolic & Bariatric Surgeons was held on December 21-23 December 2022 at the Razi Conference Center of Iran University of Medical Sciences. In this congress, 38 prominent speakers of the world from 32 countries and prominent professors from Egypt, Pakistan and Iraq participated in person and online. This year, about 849 participants attended this congress and were updated on special topics, new methods of bariatric surgery, complications, collaborative teams of the bariatric surgery group (nutrition, psychology, psychiatry, treatment and women) and new devices for obesity treatment. There was a discussion.
The hospital department of KMT group was also participated in this congress and presented their latest achievements.
